This year Monmouth University partnered with the Friends of Deal Lake to remove invasive species and overgrowth from Firemen's Pond in Wanamassa. Despite Make a Difference Day being on the same day as Homecoming this year, we had over 60 volunteers come out to help restore Firemen's Pond. We were also joined by some special guests, Senator Keane, Freeholder McMorrow, Ocean Township Mayor Larkin, as well members of the Deal Lake Commission.
